Ladakh literally means “Land of Passes” and there is a reason behind the name as one has to traverse through multiple high altitude mountain passes to reach here be it from any direction, also know as Mini Tibet it lies in Tran Himalayan Region beyond the western Himalayas in the north of India, Ladakh is a High Altitude Cold Dessert and is home to Buddhism. Apart from the Main Town of Leh Ladakh also has the highest motorable road in the world the Khardungla Pass which is Over 18000 Feet Above Sea Level, Sand Dunes in Nubra equally breathtaking and so is the beauty of Pangong Tso which is 140 Kms long and 5 Kms wide at its Widest Point. With so many things to do the place demands a good 10 Plus days to visit it properly.

Day 1- Arrive LehArrive Leh

Arrive leh. You will be received and escorted to your hotel by our representative. Complete rest is suggested for the first day. Overnight Hotel.

Day 2- Excursion of Shey, Thiksey and Stok

Today we will go for a day’s excursion to Thiksey Monastery and Shey and Stok Palaces. This will be your introduction to Tibetan Buddhism along with history and culture of Ladakh. Evening visit Shanti Stupa. Overnight Hotel.

Day 3- Leh – Alchi – Leh

Today we will go on a day’s excursion to Sham Valley. We will make stops at Magnetic Hill and Sangam while going to Alchi. At Alchi we will visit the world famous Alchi Monastic Complex which is also known as the Ajanta of the Himalayas for the breathtaking paintings and frescoes very much intact even after more than 1000 years. After lunch at Alchi we will drive back to Leh. We will stop enroute to visit the Hall of Fame which is a museum maintained by Indian Army and showcases history of Ladakh in general and military history is Ladakh in particular. Overnight Hotel.

Day 4 - Leh- Nubra Valley (135 kms)

Drive to Nubra Valley, crossing over the highest motor-able road in the world, KhardunglaPass(18380ft). Enroute we will visit Deskit Monatery and the highest statue in Ladakh- Maitreya Statue. Evening visit the Sand Dunes at Hundar. Optional Camel Safari. Overnight Camp/Hotel.

Day 5- Hunder- Turtuk – Hunder

Today we will go on a day’s excursion to Turtuk Village. This pristine village on the border towards Pakistan was once a part of Pakistan and later annexed by India. Turtuk is known for its scenic beauty and for it’d different and unique Balti culture. We will drive back to Hunder in the evening. Overnight Camp/Hotel

Day 6- Nubra Valley- Pangong (130 kms)

Today we will drive from Nubra valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok valley. This newly opened route along the Shayok River is one of the most fascinating drives in Ladakh. The serenity and tranquility of Pangong Lake will mesmerize you in every aspect. Enjoy a nice walk along the Lake in the evening. Overnight Camp

Day 7- Pangong- Tsomoriri (240 kms)

Today we will embark on the road less travelled. Driving along the Pangong Lake will give you a new high, plus the highland drives of Changthang will add onto the adventure feel. We will cross Tsagala and the town of Nyoma on our way and shall drive along the Indus for a while before crossing it and coming into Sumda Valley, after which we will cross Namshang La, from where we will get nice glimpse of Thatsang Karu Lake, towards the end of which we will have the first view of Tsomoriri Lake. Overnight Camp/Hotel.

Day 8- Tsomoriri- Tso Kar – Leh (242 Kms)

Today we will drive from Tsomoriri to Tsokar. Enroute we will make stops at Puga, known for its natural hot springs. We will Visit Tsokar Lake, which was once known for its salt. Now Tsokar serve as one of the favorite breeding grounds for a lot of migratory birds including the famous black-necked crane. From Tso Kar to Leh Via Taglangla Pass.

Day 9 - Leh Fly Out

You will be escorted to Leh Airport. Services End
