We hired Hamta Journeys for our Hamta Visit. Its apparently one of the best place to experience snow in Manali. Less crowded place as the entry is limited . From Manali the travel time is about 1 hr through a number of hairpin bends and narrow road. Within few kms of travel snow was visible on the road sides . We started Hamta pass is a must visit place and better than Solang valley . Less crowded place and one can explore the snow covered valleys all around . The snow was bout 1-2 ft thick when we visited and was fresh, we had a great time with the Team. Our stay food and transit all were comfortable against all odds created by unexpected snowfall.
We recently visited the Sissu valley with Hamta Jounneys, while we were on Manali Trip. This place can be reached from Manali by going through Atal Tunnel. Sissu Valley comes under the Lauhal and Spiti area. We visited in June 2024, the place seemed extremely fresh, exorbitantly beautiful and scenic. The river is very clean and calm. Locals say this whole area gets fully covered in snow in winters. This entire trip was just perfect because of the team, We are certainly visiting again.
