The tour takes you to the “Queen of Hills” Shimla and Adventure Paradise of Manali. Where Shimla is rich in its pleasant weather, Colonial past and Victorian Architecture Manali offers beautiful views of snow-clad peaks, nice cultural insight of Himachal Pradesh, Apple Orchards, Kathkoni Architecture, temples and adventure sports. Day One: Chandigarh – Manali (300 Kms – 7 to 8 Hours)
Pick Up from Chandigarh Railway Station/Air Port/ ISBT and transfer to Simla. The drive takes you via Himalayan Expressway and onto Kalka Shimla Highway towards Shimla. The Road starts winding from Pinjore, offering scenic views of Hills and Valleys a 4 hour drive will get you to Shimla. Overnight Stay in Shimla Hotel
Day Two: Shimla Sightseeing (6 to 8 Hours)
After breakfast head out for a day visit of Shimla Town. Start your day by visiting the famous Jakhu Temple which also is the highest point of Shimla, the temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and is famous of its 108 Feet Hight Statue of Lord Hanuman, beware of Monkeys in the vicinity of the temple, further drive towards the famous Vice Regal Lodge of Shimla also known as the Indian Institute of Advance Studies use to be the residence of the Vice Roy of India when Simla use to be the Summer Capital of British India. After a small tour of the Vice Regal Lodge visit the adjoining Birds Park which is home to some of the rarest of Himalayan Pheasants including the Khaleej and Monal (Which also is the state bird of Himachal Pradesh). From here we take another drive to Sankat Mochan Temple, dedicated again to Lord Hanuman is located at the entrance of Shimla town and offers beautiful views of the town. From This temple we head to the famous Mall Road of Shimla, famous for its grandeur the Mall Road is the main centre of Shimla Town where all locals and tourist come in the evenings to relax and socialize with variety of eateries and café’s Mall Road is ideal to spend the evenings, one can head up to the Ridge to witness amazing views of the Himalayan Ranges and Sun Sets in particular are really mesmerising from here. Adjoining Mall Road is Lakkar Bazar famous for Wooden Handicraft Items Lakkar Bazar is another famous location in Shimla. After the Excursion, drive back to the Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day Three: Shima To Manali (280 Kms – 8 to 10 Hours) On The Way Sightseeing.
Today is a long drive towards the capital of Adventure sports Manali, we start early around 8 Am in the morning and head towards Manali. On the way we halt for Lunch and after crossing Pandoh we stop for Rafting/Paragliding (Optional). We cross Kullu Town and visit Shawl Factories on the way. By evening we reach Manali, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Manali Hotel.
Day Four: Manali Local Sightseeing (4 to 6 Hours maybe more depending upon traffic)
After Breakfast we head out for a local visit of Manali Town, we visit Hadimba Mata Temple, Manu Temple Both these temples are centuries old and are perfect example of Khatkoni Architecture which is the traditional construction style of this region where Hadimba Mata is the Main deity of this region the Manu Temple is dedicated to Manu Rishi who also as per our Purans is the creator of Humans, Located in Old Manali this temple is perched towards the top of the village and offers beautiful views of the mountains. The Old Manali Market is also one of the kind the place is famous for its awesome café’s and shops for buying hippie fashion clothing etc. is altogether a different zone, popular among backpackers and international tourist it’s a happening place for parties & Live Music , Club House is known for indoor games, adventure sports and handicraft shopping etc. , Tibetian Monastery is located in the main town and Manali Mall Road popular among the domestic tourist is famous for eateries and shopping, most of the essential items can easily be found here.
Day Five: Manali Sightseeing (4 to 6 Hours may be more depending upon traffic)
(Due to NGT’s Ruling we will not be able to take you to Rohtang Pass, there is a limited number of Vehicles allowed to go to Rohtang and obtaining the permit for the same cannot be guaranteed however we can arrange a visit for you to Rohtang Pass at an additional cost which will be as per actual)
If you don’t wish to visit Rohtang Pass we shall be taking you to Solang Valley, which is famous for paragliding and beautiful view of Pir Panjal Ranges. On your way back visit Vashishth Temple famous for its hot water springs and old temple of Guru Vashishth, if you wish you can take a small hike to Jogini Water fall from here and after the visit head back to the Hotel, overnight stay at the hotel.
Day Six: Manali to Chandigarh (8 to 10 Hours – 310 Kms)
After breakfast check out from the Hotel and board your cab for the final leg of your memorable tour of the Himalayas. The drive is long so we recommend that you start latest by 9:00 Am in the morning towards Chandigarh. The trip ends with Drop at Chandigarh city.
